Completed Activities


  • Building 50 eco friendly libraries among chosen thanda’s (Hamlet) across Karnataka. This will be designed as a prototype and will be replicated across other locations as well. We like to achieve reasonable education and social awareness thru this.
  • Provide crash courses for NEET; IIT-JEE; GRE; GMAT and other professional courses for talented rural students
  • Empower every thanda with preventative as well as early screening tools through portable, remote medical kits (which are being tested currently)

2022

  • Book release event on March 27, 2022 at Courtyard Marriott- Bengaluru. Main author- Prof. Bhangya Bhukya- Subjugated Nomads - The Lambadas under the rule of Nizams, translated to Kannada language by Prof. NS Jadhav- “Damanita Alemaarigalu”
  • We got two girl students admitted to PUC (Science with NEET track) college. They were from remote parts of Bidar (Rs. 1.35 lakh) and Bharamasagara area (Rs 8000), who had secured first class with distinction in their tenth standard examination
  • We paid college and mess fees for three medical students (2 from Bangalore Medical College and 1 from Raichur medical college), total of Rs 15000
  • A rural family was supported with arecanut sapling plantation expenses (Rs. 30000)
  • A rural family was donated with a cow to start their dairy farming (Rs 40,000)
  • Paid accomodation fees (Rs 3500) for Mr. Sundar Naik preparing for competitive exams
  • Bought agriculture optional study books for Mr. Lakshman Naik (Rs. 4890)
  • Sponsored travel expenses for girl student who was appearing for KPSC (KAS) interview.

2021

- Collected Rs. 3,08,000 to purchase 175 pulsoximeter and thermometers. They were distributed in North Karnataka and Telangana area

  • Received donation of 233 pulsoximeter kit from the US which was worth Rs. 6,50,000. They were again distributed to Mid and North Karnataka as well as Telangana
  • Paid Rs. 19,300 towards customs charge for 233 pulsoximeters
  • Donated Rs. 25,000 towards Uppi’s (Gramarajya) trust for the distribution of food packets
  • Assured Rs. 10,00,000.00 (Ten lakhs) for the benefit of educating and making rural candidates in preparation for competitive examinations
  • Rs. 72,000 donated to Shri. Raj Shiva Maloth, Telangana towards the humanitarian efforts related to COVID

2020

Year 2020 was the pandemic year with no significant outdoor activities, however we the trustees of the trust collected funds and supported two girl students to join medical college:

  • Archana Ranjith Naik from Chennai, received a total of Rs. 4,50,000 (four lakh fifty thousand rupees)
  • Deepti from Tumkuru received Rs. 15,000 (fifteen thousand rupees) and joined Hassan medical college
  • Donated Rs. 25,000 to Shri. Anil Shetty’s trust/organization for distributing food packets in HSR layout
  • In association with Global Gor Association, Donated Rs. 1,25,000 towards the purchase of desktop computers for a study center in Gadag. 
  • Donated Rs. 1,50,000.00 to various organization and families in Mumbai; Maharashtra, Telangana area to help with food packets for daily wagers affected by COVID related lockdown

2019

In 2019, we conducted a mega event to plant more than 600 saplings in and around the schools and entire thanda. This was an enthusiastic program where many dignitaries participated.

2018

  • In 2018, we started pre school with english language for the kindergarten age. Entire syllabus was designed, planned and printed. Entire classroom was dedicated for kindergarten kids with new uniforms, seating arrangements and play toys. (cost: Rs. 2,50,000)
  • Participated in health relief camp visit to Madikere which was affected due to major flood and landslide
  • Gifted a smartphone to Shri. Hanumatha Naik, who hailed from remote village and being a sheep herder, he was gifted with an amazing voice and had qualified for music competition

In 2017, sports, cultural events were supported where our thanda kids outshined in most of the sports events and bags many medals and awards

World Environment day celebration, planting around 600 saplings around the entire thanda (hamlet).

2015

In 2015, we revamped the school with outdoor play area with swings, slides, merry go round for the tots and entire village kids. This was an effort to prevent thanda kids from being attracted to private schools where learning would be same but for additional premium. (Cost: Rs.1,10,000)

In 2013, we got the green board for the entire classrooms which would further improve the learning opportunities (Rs. 8000)

2012

As years went by, Richa was born in 2012 and hence the social service activities doubled too. public announcement system was donated so that the kids can enjoy the social and cultural activities much better (Rs. 15000)

In 2011, desktop computer was bought to give an exposure to the rural kids about the new technology taking over our generations (Rs. 12,000)

In 2010, we got the wooden benches and desks for the classrooms (Rs. 30,000)

In the year 2009, we donated for the maintenance of the school property (Rs. 5000)

2008

October 1, 2008 was the first year birthday of Ronith and I felt that my expenditure towards his birthday celebration should be meaningful and hence started our support for rural education. Our ancestral village thanda school was the obvious choice. We bought them complete set of steel dinner plates, cups, water container which was worth approx Rs. 25,000. This was distributed to the school kids and the joy on their face was priceless!
